1 Corinthians 14:33 –  For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.  As in all churches of the Saints.

‘Honey, we hardly speak anymore.’;  ’I sometimes wonder if my husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend still find me attractive?’;  ’Doctor, why is it so difficult for me to gain/lose weight?’;  ’Mummy/Daddy, why do we have to keep  _______ (fill in the blank) again and again?’  - It’s complicated!

How popular has this phrase become in 2011 – 2013?  Almost as if we irresponsibly do not wish to deal with reality, we simply term everything as being well “complicated!”  When did everything become so blur and complicated?  Oh, I know, it’s when we started taking the simplicities of life, tossing them aside, either in becoming too lazy for us to deal with them, to “important” to deal with them or too complacent to care about taking time to deal with them bit by bit so they end up becoming – yup – complicated!  We deal, way too many times, with the surface of our problems, but what about the root causes?  Don’t we really want to get to the bottom of our issues?  Or is it that we hope a Hero/Heroine will just come along our way and deal with our problems for us?

Sometimes we wonder why God allows “complicated” things to happen in our lives and while I am nowhere starting to have all the answers to life, from my own “complications” experienced, I recognised two things – 1.  Satan just has a ball stealing our joy whenever God blesses us – and – 2.  Difficulty, which at times are allowed, even based on our decisions from the “free will” given us, while it may break us, God’s “silver lining behind the grey cloud” to us is that He uses it to make us STRONGER and to make better decisions about life.

Now, many of us are a bit lost by the way things are happening in this modern day; however, the joy of God is this – His word of yesterday, yestermonth and yesteryear lasts even till today, tomorrow and many years to come.  Lovelies, we do not live in complicated times – we are making things complicated.  Now, don’t get me wrong, there are situations that come really fast at us and in a chain-effect, but sometimes we really have to sit and think about all the complexities one at a time, process each one and offer it one at a time into His hands.  No one ever said that we couldn’t take time to figure things out, that’s cool, because God waits to hear us out, He understands better than we ever will.  Even if we don’t understand that, we can say to Him that we don’t because the God we serve allows us to be open and honest to Him.  How about this, we stop looking at things in a complicated manner;  we take the problems, not into our own hands, but we break them down and place them in God’s hands and we just look at His glory simplify them with us!

How about this – let us break Satan’s joy by no longer admitting to complications (and allowing them to break us for too long) because we know our BIG, MIGHTY, SUPER God can handle ANYTHING under and above the sun!
